Marinated White Anchovies in Sunflower Oil - Boquerones - 7 oz/200 gr or 2.2 lb/907 gr by Fruits de Mer.
These delicious anchovies are caught off the coast of Morocco. After being caught and filleted by hand, they are soaked in lemon juice and vinegar for approximately 14 hours. They are then delicately marinated in sunflower oil, chilies, and garlic to provide a wonderfully light texture which does not lose its flavor to the vegetable oil. These white anchovies come ready to eat and can be used in salads or entrees, or served as an appetizer or side dish. Boquerones are traditionally served as an appetizer in Spain with an alcoholic drink-like beer or vermouth. Potato chips, olives, and piquillo peppers usually pair well with them.
Keep chilled - store between 40-44° F, use within 14 days of opening.
